1. Achilles is widely known as the mythological hero of the Trojan War. Achilles is one of the main characters of Homer’s Iliad.

2. Achilles is believed to be the most handsome among the Greek warriors who fought against Troy.

3. According to the poem of Statius, the only vulnerable part of Achilles’ body was his heel.

5. Achilles was half-divine, because his mother, Thetis, was a sea nymph. His mother was nymph Thetis and his father was Peleus, the king of the Myrmidons.

6. Achilles killed Hector during the Trojan War.

8. Paris, Hector’s brother, killed Achilles by wounding his heel with an arrow.
